Planning for upcoming OFN bicentennial event

The Youngstown Tourism and Tours Committee, a group comprising village, civic, service, or social village organizations, has been active over past months. The committee has been working with Old Fort Niagara, and the villages of Youngstown and Wilson with participation from the War of 1812 Events Committee in Niagara-on-the-Lake, in planning for the 200th anniversary date of Dec. 19, 2013, when the British captured Fort Niagara and burned the Niagara region all the way to Buffalo.

Absent were Karen Noonan, OFN Executive Director Bob Emerson and 1st District Niagara County Legislator Clyde Burmaster.
