Lewiston Public Library December programs

The Lewiston Public Library, 305 S. Eighth St., in the Village of Lewiston, announces the following programs, events and activities for the month of December.

•A Pearl Harbor Day Celebration will take place at the library on Saturday, Dec. 7. Learn about the role of women during World War II with Peggy Taylor-Hulligan beginning at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., "Pearl Harbor," the motion picture directed by Michael Bay, will be presented in the Community Room.

•Friends of the Library meet on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m.

•Tail Waggin' Tutors continues. The program is geared for children ages 5 and up and all reading abilities are welcome. For further information, contact Miss Ann in the children's room.

The library will be closed Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Library hours: Monday-Tuesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday-Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, noon to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
