Free emergency preparedness workshop offered for Western New York Scouts

Program presented through Border Community SERVICE of Niagara University

Border Community SERVICE of Niagara University is offering a free emergency preparedness workshop for all Western New York Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

The workshop will take place at Niagara University on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

All Western New York Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts ages 11-18 are eligible for the workshop, which includes the educational materials required to attain the Girl Scout Emergency Preparedness Patch and the Boy Scout Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge (except for the practical exercise).

A complimentary lunch will be provided to all participants.

Interested troops may register online at www.niagara.edu/emergency-preparedness-workshop-registration. Limited space is available.

The mission of Border Community SERVICE (Special Emergency Response Volunteer Initiative for Community Empowerment) of Niagara University is to provide emergency preparedness training to citizens and to encourage their participation in opportunities that enhance regional emergency readiness.
