In just a matter of days, zombies will invade the Niagara County SPCA!

Organizers invite readers to join the ranks of the undead on Saturday, Oct. 19, for the shelter's second annual "Zombiefest." The event will be held on the shelter grounds located at 2100 Lockport Road in Niagara Falls.

Some of the same scary attractions include the haunted barn, haunted hayride, chili cook-off and children's games. New to the event this year is the "Zombie Obstacle Course," "Zombie Cheerleading Competition," "Thriller Dance-off" and "Zombie Brain Dodgeball."

There is no admission fee to the event, but activity fees may apply.

"Last year, true Zombie fans braved the rainy Western New York weather to join in the fun and support the Niagara County SPCA. We are hoping those same souls will join us this year, in addition to many others for this fun event," said the SPCA's Amy Lewis. "All proceeds will benefit the Niagara County SPCA. This event was made possible through generous donations from Wedge Liquors, Mighty Taco of East Amherst, Empower Credit Union, W.C. Edgar, Collins & Collins Attorneys LLC, and Player's Sports Bar."
