To celebrate the first anniversary in its new location, Augie's Diner has partnered with LaSalle Pride Inc. on a display of historic photos of LaSalle.

The exhibit will officially open on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 8207 Niagara Falls Blvd., on the west end of Pine Plaza. The diner will also offer special discounts. There will be a drawing for a free 2014 Historic Legacy Calendar produced by LaSalle Pride.

Augie's Diner, which was founded by Charles Augustino, opened in April of 2004 on Military Road in the Town of Niagara. Since his death, the diner has been managed by his wife, Linda Bruno Augustino, and daughter, Jill Augustino Golkin.

Thirty old photos on display include motels, schools, theaters, Griffon Manor, the LaSalle Library, aerial views of Pine and Mil-Pine Plaza, old maps and other old buildings.
