The New York State Department of Transportation has announced the Western New York incident management team will conduct an incident management training exercise on Sept. 19 on Route 951A (LaSalle Expressway) in the City of Niagara Falls and Town of Wheatfield.

As a result of this training exercise for first-responder personnel, the LaSalle Expressway will be closed to all traffic from Cayuga Road to Williams Road from 4 to 11 p.m. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour routes.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
