Rivershore Inc. celebrates community partnerships

Rivershore Inc. will hold its fourth annual gala dinner, "Celebrating Community Partnerships," from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Niagara Falls Country Club, 505 Mountainview Drive, Lewiston.

Maryalice Demler of WGRZ-TV will be the emcee. The event also will feature Josh Blue, winner of NBC's "Last Comic Standing."

At the dinner, Rivershore will acknowledge the contributions of its key community partners: Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center, Richard and Karen Phoenix, Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, Lewiston Kiwanis Club/Niagara County Aktion Club, Family and Children's Services of Niagara, Niagara University, Niagara County Community College, Road Runners Self Advocacy Group, The Family & Friends Down Syndrome Association of Niagara Inc., The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation, New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, and Developmental Disabilities Alliance of Western New York.

Honorary chairs are Judith Maness and Ron Willacker.

Sponsors include: Upstate Pharmacy, Lawley Benefits Group, Wegmans, Family & Friends Down Syndrome Association of Niagara Inc., Hodgson Russ, KeyBank, DiMino's Lewiston Tops, 24/7 Binatech IT Solutions and Integrity Auto Service.

Rivershore was named a Compass Agency by New York state in 2002, an honor awarded to only the top 1 percent of agencies serving people with developmental disabilities.
