DeGraff Adult Day Care will celebrate National Adult Day Services week by hosting a "Harvest Good Health" open house at 3780 Commerce Court, North Tonawanda, on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 1-4 p.m. Special activities are scheduled as follows:

  • 1-2 p.m.: "Cash Bingo"
  • 2-3 p.m.: Entertainment with Lyle Stang, a well-known "one-man band"
  • 3-4 p.m.: QiGong demonstration, gentle movements for balance and well-being

A variety of health screens, including blood pressure, BMI and carbon monoxide testing, will be available throughout the afternoon. The Niagara County Falls Prevention Coalition will also conduct falls risk assessments. There will be prizes, music, snacks and a special opportunity to receive a free month of VNA Lifeline personal emergency response services.

Family caregivers and their loved ones are encouraged to come to this event to join in the fun, take advantage of health screens, and experience the benefits of attending a social adult day program.
