What child could resist a trip on the carrousel with a favorite stuffed animal? Bring your best bear friend for a fun-filled afternoon of games, crafts and treats at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum from 2 until 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8.

Play games from the past, including clothespins in the bottle and spoon racing, make your own paper bear craft and a "beary" fun tic-tac-toe game, and more. Guests can even make a new friend, with DJ Dance Boogie's build-an-animal workshop (separate fee applies). At 3 p.m., join in a special story time program featuring A.A. Milne's classic "Winnie the Pooh" tales, and meet one of your favorite bear friends.

The cost for this event is $6 per person (no coupons or passes accepted). Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission includes all activities (excluding build-an-animal workshop), a treat bag for children, and a ride on the carrousel.

Advance reservations are appreciated, but not required. For more information or to register, call the museum at 716-693-1885.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is located at 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda. For directions and further information about special events, programs or group tours, visit www.carrouselmuseum.org, call 716-693-1885 or email [email protected].
