Assemblyman reads Dr. Seuss to children
Assemblyman John D. Ceretto took part in "Read Across America" and Dr. Seuss' birthday celebration by reading to children at the North Tonawanda Library over the weekend. As part of the festivities, he read the famous "My Many Colored Days." Children in attendance took part in games, crafts and ate birthday cake.
"Reading is a cornerstone to every child's imagination and potential, and Dr. Seuss exemplifies that more than any children's author," Ceretto said. "It was great celebrating 'Read Across America' with the kids at the North Tonawanda Library and I hope that the activities and reading spur their creativity and desire to learn."
