Cristoforo Colombo Society announces dinner honorees

The Cristoforo Colombo Society announces the honorees for the annual Columbian Award Dinner Dance to be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, in the Society's Banquet Hall, 2223 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls.

Dennis Virtuoso, director of code enforcement for the City of Niagara Falls, senior legislator and minority leader serving his 20th year as a member of the Niagara County Legislature, is the recipient of the Columbian Award. Janet Ligammari, director of Hospice clinical services in Lockport, and Ron Cirrito, a patrolman with the Niagara Falls Police Department (and master sergeant for the 107th), are the recipients of the Honorary Columbian Awards.

Chair Joan Reynolds states the event begins at 5:30 p.m. with an open bar, dinner and music. Tickets are $40 per person. Anyone interested in purchasing tickets may call Ernie Lucantonio, president, at 716-523-0486 before Oct. 8. Seating is limited.
