Lewiston Police Blotter for July 14, 2012

The following activity occurred from Monday, July 2, to Sunday, July 8, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 111 response calls during this period.

Monday, July 2

•5900 block of Kline Road, open burn complaint. Area checked. No burning logs found under and outside the resident's bedroom window as had been reported.

•5100 block of Townline Road, suspicious person. Female caller, 37, reports hearing voices outside. Area checked with negative results.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, Our Lady of Peace, shooter complaint. Area checked on reports of sounds of gunshots. Negative results reported.

•5100 block of Townline Road, suspicious person. Caller reports hearing twigs breaking. Area checked with negative results.

•3700 block of Dickersonville Road, assist. Patrol on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office for a domestic.

•Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, fight. Patrol interviewed all participants. Investigation to continue.

Tuesday, July 3

•Lewiston sand docks area, check situation. Caller reported subjects swimming in the water. Subjects GOA.

•900 block of Ridge Road, check situation, possible domestic. Patrol interviewed a male and female. No problems found; patrol cleared.

•Locations on Tuscarora Street and on Seneca and South Fourth streets, Alcohol Beverage Control violations. Patrol reported the arrests of the following for open containers, a male, 49; a female, 51; a female, 31, and a male, 33. Appearance tickets issued to all for Lewiston Town Court. Reports filed.

•700 block of Center Street, assist. Patrol on location with New York State Parks Police for an arrest. Unidentified driver arrested for driving while intoxicated and numerous other unspecified charges.

•900 block of Orchard Drive, juvenile problem. Patrol spoke with a female, 36, regarding a male juvenile, 13. Issue resolved by patrol.

Wednesday, July 4

•Townline Road, reckless driver. Caller reports a black sport bike traveling at a high rate of speed through Sanborn.

•800 block of Foxwood Drive, suspicious person complaint. Patrol located a male, 30, who was trying to talk to his girlfriend. Subject left without incident.

•Academy Park, Alcohol Beverage Control violations. Patrol reported the arrests of the following for open containers: a male, 23; a male, 24; a male, 20; a female, 20; and a male, 21. All subjects released on appearance tickets to Lewiston Town Court. Reports filed.

•Unspecified location, bench warrant execution. Patrol and NCSO reported the arrest of a female, no age listed. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court, bail of $400 assigned and posted and suspect released.

•Unspecified location, reckless driver, arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a male, 50, for aggravated unlicensed operation, third. Vehicle towed; report filed.

Thursday, July 5

•Military and Lewiston roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; reports filed.

•400 block of Harper Drive, criminal mischief. Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) spray-painted a red swastika on a fence. No report requested.

•4600 block of Hyde Park Boulevard, large fight with weapons. LPD requested to assist Niagara Falls Police Department with a group. All OK; subjects GOA.

•100 block of North Fourth Street, suspicious vehicles. Two vehicles located and sent on their way.

Friday, July 6

•1100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, porch fire. Patrol reported fire extinguished by Town of Niagara Police. Lewiston No. 2 Volunteer Fire Company also on location.

•100 block of Portage Road, unwanted party. Issue resolved by patrol.

•Ridge and Creek roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.

•900 block of Center Street, check welfare. Patrol reported a female, 62, was given a courtesy ride home. Vehicle secured.

•2500 block of Ridge Road, loud party. Both parties advised.

Saturday, July 7

•Lewiston Senior Center, suspicious vehicle. Patrol located an unoccupied vehicle and was unable to contact the rightful owner. Building checked and found secure.

•Center Street, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a male, 24, for driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 of 1 percent or more of alcohol, aggravated unlicensed operation, third, and stopping/standing on pavement. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets to Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•1000 block of Elliott Drive, property damage. Caller reported damage to a rear window of a parked vehicle. Report filed.

Sunday, July 8

•Lower Mountain Road, reckless driver. Caller reported a small silver-colored vehicle, registration unknown, traveling at a high rate of speed. Patrol unable to locate.

•2800 block of Ridge Road, open door. Patrol found an open door to a shed. Homeowner advised and no problems reported.

•100 block of South Water Street, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a female, 70, who reported a board was fastened from a neighboring dock to a dock on her property without permission. Report filed.

•Lewiston-Cambria-Townline roads, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the pullover-arrest of a female, 32, for operating while the registration is suspended/revoked. Suspect released on appearance tickets to Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed. Report filed.
