Fidelis Care to offer health insurance open houses at 10 locations in Niagara County

Low or no-cost insurance coverage for many of Niagara County's 24,000 uninsured

Fidelis Care has announced that its representatives will be on site at 10 locations across Niagara County during the month of May to answer questions relating to Fidelis Care's insurance programs, and to assist interested parties in applying for coverage.

New York has a significant population of uninsured residents under the age of 65, including more than 2.3 million adults between the ages of 19 and 64, and 343,000 children under the age of 19. In Niagara County, more than 21,000 adults, and more than 3,300 children, do not have the security of health insurance for preventive, routine, hospital, or emergency care.

Individuals and families in need of coverage are encouraged to visit with a Fidelis Care representative at any of the events listed below, or call 1-888-FIDELIS (1-888-343-3547) to arrange a meeting with a Fidelis Care representative at a convenient time and location, including in the comfort and privacy of an applicant's home. Current Fidelis Care members may also receive assistance with their annual recertification at these events.

Fidelis Care offers free or low-cost health insurance through New York state's Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid Managed Care programs. Members are covered for regular checkups, preventive care, routine screenings, hospital and emergency care, eye exams, dental care, and more. In addition, Fidelis Care also offers a variety of benefit options for seniors through Fidelis Medicare Advantage, Dual Advantage, Medicaid Advantage Plus, and Fidelis Care at Home programs, available in certain counties.

To apply for enrollment in Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, or Medicaid Managed Care through Fidelis Care, bring proof of age, income, and address.
