O'Keefe from law offices of William Mattar to speak at local Medicare seminar

James M. O'Keefe, an attorney at William Mattar, will discuss the Medicare system as a whole, and how to deal with Medicare issues in a personal injury case. "Medicare Secondary Payer Issues in Liability Cases: How they May Affect Your Personal Injury Case" will be presented at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, at The Buffalo Yacht Club, One Porter Ave., Buffalo.

The topics also will include Medicare secondary payer and Medicare set-asides. This seminar is presented by SUNY Buffalo Law School and the Law Alumni Association's Graduates of the Last Decade group.

O'Keefe is an attorney with the Law Offices of William Mattar, where he concentrates his practice on advocating in support of clients who suffered bodily injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents. O'Keefe has been a member of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School's Alumni Association GOLD group for three years; he is currently president-elect and will serve as president for the 2012-13 programming year.

He is admitted to practice before all courts in New York, the U.S. District Court for the Western Districts of New York, and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York. O'Keefe earned his B.A. from Niagara University and his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.
