There is no Village of Lewiston Board of Trustees meeting tonight. Elected leaders will instead meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. to discuss the tentative budget for 2012-13, as well as almost $100,000 in proposed capital improvement projects.

The tax rate, right now, is $7.12 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. Trustees are aiming to keep that rate flat for 2012-13, while working with a total budget in the $3.3-milion range.

Trustees are not expected to approve the final budget at Wednesday's meeting.

Engineer Richard San Giacomo, meanwhile, has outlined a half-dozen capital improvement projects for the Village Board to consider. Four of the five jobs would target inflow and infiltration problems.

If San Giacomo's plan is approved, trustees would apply for bond anticipation notes to cover the project costs.

Public hearings on both subjects will preclude the regular meeting. Click here for more information on these topics.

The board meets at the Red Brick Municipal Building, 145 N. Fourth St.
