On Sunday, April 29, the Village of Lewiston Recreation will hold its annual Lewiston Kiwanis and Lewiston Service Guild One Mile Race for Youth starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Onondaga Street entrance of the Red Brick Municipal Building gym.
Registration will begin at 11:45 a.m. Registration forms will need a parent's signature. The race is for youths ages 14 years and under. The racecourse is one mile on flat land.
Parents can run with their children.
The rain-or-shine race is free and the first 100 youths registering that day will receive a shirt courtesy of Lewiston Kiwanis, Lewiston Service Guild and Stuart Sports.
The event is part of the 17th annual Lewiston Spring Fling.
The Recreation Department is looking for some volunteers to help man the race route. For more information, call 754-1990.
