Women's Build Day

Join the Niagara Area Habitat for Humanity from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 24, for its annual Women's Build Day.

There will be a variety of jobs at various skill levels. The group is in the process of finishing a home at 36 "A" St., in Niagara Falls.

For every $5 donated that day, donors will receive a raffle ticket. Items will be raffled off every hour. Lunch will be provided. Call 285-2877 or email [email protected].    

Niagara Area Habitat for Humanity also plans a "kick off" dedication celebration for its next house at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Niagara, 639 Main St., Niagara Falls.

The program will consist of a short worship service with Rev. Harvey Kelley of the New Hope Baptist Church presiding and musical pieces performed by area church choirs. Dan Brick, a Habitat board member from North Tonawanda, will give a short talk on his work with Habitat International.

Niagara Area Habitat for Humanity has four covenant churches: New Hope Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church of Niagara Falls, Messiah Lutheran Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. Any churches interested in becoming covenant churches should contact Habitat at 285-2877.
