The Rotary Club of Niagara County Central will again offer $1,000 scholarships to students from the Niagara-Wheatfield, Starpoint and Wilson school districts. Students who reside in these school districts and attend a New York state accredited high school may apply for the scholarship.

The scholarships will be awarded based on community volunteer activities, need and leadership roles within the community. Scholarship applicants must present college acceptance letters.

All applicants must have a minimum of 2.6 or above grade-point average (4-point scale) or an overall average that is 82 or higher. Students will be required to complete an application, present two letters of recommendation and complete a 350-word, hand-written essay. Applications can be found at Niagara-Wheatfield, Starpoint and Wilson school district counseling centers and websites.

Students living within the Niagara-Wheatfield, Starpoint and Wilson School districts who attend another accredited high school are eligible for the scholarships if they meet the qualifications.

Applications can be dropped off at the various school counseling centers or mailed to the Rotary Club of Niagara County Central, P. O. Box 204, Sanborn, NY, 14132.  The deadline for submission for completed applications is April 20.

The top qualifying applicants will be interviewed prior to selection for the $1,000 scholarship.
