ABWA hosts seminar

The American Business Women's Association of Western New York will hold its next Professional Development Seminar and monthly dinner meeting on Wednesday, March 21, at Banchetti's Banquets and Catering, 550 N. French Road, Amherst.

Speaking will be Katherine Lucas, executive producer at Emedia Studios. Her presentation is titled: "Red Carpet Ready - Be the Superstar in Your Life." The public is welcome to attend the seminar.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Cost for members is $25 by March 11. The price increases to $30 after March 11. Walk-ins are welcome; the cost is $30. Non-members with a special guest pass are $20, however the pass must be presented the night of the meeting. A buffet dinner is included.

•The Friends of Joseph Davis Park will hold its first organizational meeting on Tuesday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Lewiston Public Library, 305 S. Eighth St., in the village.

Spokesman Craig Simpson reports the informational session, open to area residents, will have its focus on improvements at the park in light of the recently approved $5.7 million in Niagara River Greenway Commission funding.

Maps will be on display and area residents are invited to offer their ideas and input.
