The public is invited to a "Caring For Your Waterfront Property" workshop on Monday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in the Grand Island Memorial Library, 1715 Bedell Road.

Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper will host this workshop to offer technical assistance to increase the economic and ecological value of waterfront property. The water's edge, also known as the riparian zone, plays a role in providing clean water for communities and healthy habitat for wildlife. Waterfront property owners have the opportunity to protect and improve the ecology of their riparian lands.

The workshop is free and will be about 90 minutes in length. No registration is required. For more information, contact Matt Candeias by email at [email protected] or by phone at 852-7483, ext. 31.
