The Lewiston-Porter Builders Club has once again brought the school and community together in an effort to bring cheer to those at the Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Advisory teachers at the Lewiston-Porter Middle School worked with students for several weeks preparing Valentine's Day cards for the people at the center. Every Friday morning, members of the Builders Club worked to collect them. A grand total of 320 Valentine's Day cards were collected.
Builders Club President Kevin Bovanizer stated, "The project was a big success. I am pleased with how the advisories came together." So many students participated in making the cards, the Builders Club had a surplus and donated 140 cards to the National Junior Honor Society to contribute to their project. The Builders Club hopes those at the Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Center had a happy Valentine's Day!
