Organizers of the Town of Porter story hour (a program for pre-school children, their parents and grandparents) report the activity will have plenty of fun themes for this month. According to Story Hour Director Ramona Lockhart, "We will have pajama and Valentine parties, make and eat stone soup, have a show-and-tell day and learn about dogs and cats."

Lockhart calls the story hour a fun and friendly social learning experience for preschoolers. "We always make crafts, read books, celebrate special occasions and have special guests."

Sessions are held on Tuesdays at the Youngstown Free Library, located in the Red Brick School village center, 240 Lockport St., Youngstown, and Wednesdays at the Ransomville Library, Ransomville. Two classes are held each day; times are 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., and 11 am. to noon.

"This a great opportunity for moms, dads and grandparents to make new friends, read a magazine, or check out a new book," says Lockhart. "It's also free."
