The Alternative Parenting Program students at Orleans/Niagara BOCES recently put together a fundraiser to help support Save-A-Pet of Niagara County, a non-profit animal rescue organization. The students, as part of their participation in government class, along with teachers Andrea Kagels (social studies) and Darlene Mariani (science) spent weeks crafting items to be sold at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center's open house. The students raised $275 that will be used to make pet beds and provide toys and other supplies that the animal fostering program needs.
