"Warmth is not just from the heart, but from donations of socks, gloves and hats by the Lewiston Senior Center during the Christmas holidays."

In photo No. 1, Lynn Seigfried, president of St. John de LaSalle Community Care Program, Phyllis Violanti, nutrition site director, and her helper, Sophia Collesano. Their items were distributed with holiday care baskets.

In photo No. 2, the girls at the Lewiston Senior Center sewing/quilting class are shown picking out fabrics for their scrappy Christmas tree skirt. They completed a table runner and a large tote bag, and are now working on a mystery quilt, which will take several months to complete. Shown are Catherine Neiswonger, Elizabeth Maacks, Pat Thompson, Norma Carlo, Joanne Pallow, Joan Holland, Marge Burnett and Katie O'Connor.
