The Shawnee Sno-Chiefs Snowmobile Club, in cooperation with the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, will hold a New York State Snowmobile Safety Course on Jan. 23 and 26.
The course is open to anyone age 10 and older. A parent or guardian must accompany the student to registration to sign the state-required permission slip or provide a signed note authorizing the student to take the course. Parents are encouraged to attend the class with their children.
The course will be held from 4:30 p.m. (5 p.m. on Thursday) to 9 p.m. at the firehall, 3747 Lockport Road, Sanborn. Bring a pencil or pen and a snack. There is no admission cost.
