Pre-New Year's Day swearing-ins were the norm in Lewiston over the past week. Beating the rush, Lewiston Highway Superintendent Doug Janese (photo No. 1) is sworn-in Dec. 29 by Lewiston Town Justice Hugh C. Gee Sr. at Lewiston Town Hall.
In photo No. 2, Town Supervisor Steve Reiter takes his oath from Gee Dec. 30 at Kilgour's Korner in Lewiston. That evening also saw the swearing-ins of Lewiston Councilmen Ron Winkley and Ernest Palmer and Niagara County Legislature Chairman William L. Ross.
