Town of Niagara Police Blotter for Dec. 22, 2011

The following calls were received by Town of Niagara Police between Dec. 8 and 12.

Thursday, Dec. 8

•Military Road and Packard Road, traffic tickets. Six traffic tickets issued for speeding.

•4700 block of Creekside Parkway, animal complaint. Two dogs running loose throughout the neighborhood and currently digging a hole in complainant's yard. Gone on arrival.

•2500 block of Military Road, shoplifting. Two girls, ages 10 and 13, were in custody for shoplifting, along with a woman who drove them to the business from Medina.

•5700 block of Lewiston Road, aid assist. Assisted Niagara Falls Police with shooting witnesses held at Niagara University Campus Safety.

Friday, Dec. 9

•8100 block of Hickory Lane, suspicious person. Unknown male knocking on door. Gone on arrival.

•2500 block of Military Road, shoplifting. Two women, ages 30 and 26, were arrested for petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child after concealing $420 in merchandise in store dressing room while having their small children hand them the items. Children both had merchandise in their jackets.

Saturday, Dec. 10

•East Britton Drive, suspicious person. Complainant states that while delivering newspapers on Manor Drive, a male in a maroon truck confronted her and followed her because her nephew urinated alongside the road.

Sunday, Dec. 11

•1900 block of Military Road, larceny. Someone entered a locked room and took $108 in funds collected for valet parking at the mall.

•4900 block of Saunders Settlement Road, assault. A 47-year-old man was arrested for assault, third-degree, for choking and punching another male at a bar.

•Licata Drive, burglary. Complainant said someone entered his trailer and stripped copper from the bathroom area. Complainant said he and his girlfriend are in the process of moving out and had nothing inside the trailer.

•2000 block of Juron Drive, disturbance. Complainant said she heard a loud crash from her son's room and saw five people running away. She chased them until they got into a car. Patrol located youth who broke window, who said he threw a snowball at a kid inside the house who was shooting an airsoft gun at him. Parents and youths worked out an agreement to have window fixed.

Monday, Dec. 12

•6700 block of Packard Road, larceny. Store manager reported a 32-year-old employee was observed on video taking cash from her drawer and placing it in a folded newspaper. A total of $1,368.86 was missing and the Michigan Avenue woman did not show up for her next shift. Business advised to seek a warrant.

•2500 block of Military Road, shoplifting. A 17-year-old Youngstown female was arrested for shoplifting $42.96 in merchandise.

•2000 block of Military Road, shoplifting. Three 17-year-old females, one from Youngstown and two from Lewiston, were arrested for shoplifting various clothing valued at $131.95, $32.97 and $129.40.
