An information campaign regarding the Grand Island Central School District capital project vote ramps up into high gear Monday.

Grand Island Superintendent of Schools Robert Christmann made a presentation to the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce on the bond project recently. "I got a lot of questions," including "What can we do to help you?" he said.

The district has plans to make more than 20 visits to civic groups and school events carrying the project message.

"We're going out like crazy, and that doesn't even include the stuff (posted) on Facebook," Christmann said. "There are lots of opportunities."

"We want to be as open and transparent about it as we can be," Christmann said.

Those who can't make an event to learn more about the project can always call the school district, Christmann said.

"We'll get back to anyone who calls with a question or a comment."
