The friends of Patty Wise held a benefit in her honor on Sunday, Nov. 6, at Lewiston No. 2 Volunteer Fire Co firehall. Wise was the victim of a devastating ATV accident on July 23 while visiting with family out of state. She has remained in a coma in Lakeland, Fla., ever since.
Over the past several months, Wise and her family have had an ongoing struggle with medical bills. They are now coping with paying for Patty's medical air flight home to Niagara Falls so that she can be with her family and begin neurological rehabilitation.
A huge crowd came out to Lewiston No. 2 firehall to take part in a basket raffle to raise money to help the Wise, Gorman and Ptasnick families bring Patty back to the Niagara Falls area. More than 350 baskets were donated to help with the tremendous costs the families are facing. While the raffle may be over, donations may still be made to: Patty Wise Fund, c/o Heather Ptasnick, 4464 Model City Road, Lewiston, NY, 14092.
