On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, Holy Ghost Lutheran School, 6630 Luther St., Bergholz, will have hundreds of homemade baked goods for sale starting at 6 a.m. until sold out.

Assorted fruit and cream pies, carrot cakes, turnovers, breads, cookies and more will be available. All pies are hand-rolled, while fresh apples (about seven bushels) and carrots (50 pounds) are peeled to assure homemade goodness.

All District 3 voters, plus the general public, are invited to the sale. About 50 volunteers from the church and school participate in the annual event, under the leadership of Louise Schildhauer, who has been chairman of the sale since 1996. Profits support education programs at Holy Ghost Lutheran School.
