Lewiston Police Blotter for Oct. 29, 2011

The following activity occurred Monday, Oct. 17, to Sunday, Oct. 23, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD responded to a total of 97 calls during this period.

Monday, Oct. 17

•700 block of Center Street, check situation at a business. Patrol spoke with the manager; no problems reported.

•1000 block of Swann Road, attempt to locate a missing person. Patrol advised of a male from Rochester. Area checked with negative results.

•400 block of Mountain View Drive, criminal mischief complaint. Patrol spoke with a male who reported unknown person(s) damaged a mailbox overnight.

•800 block of Center Street, larceny complaint. A 41-year-old male reports that two decorations were stolen from the front of the building. Investigation to continue. Report filed.

•400 block of Cherry Lane, alarm response. Home secure; no key holder on site. Report filed.

•1300 block of Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle and traffic assist. Patrol assisted State Police on the arrest of a female on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh degree. Subject in State Police custody.

•700 block of Ridge Road, larceny. Statement taken from a 25-year-old male who reported unknown person(s) stole money and medications from his unlocked car sometime on the night of Oct. 14. Report filed.

•5400 block of Townline Road, property dispute. Statement taken from a 56-year-old male who reported an ex-girlfriend took a phone and computer from the complainant. Investigation to continue.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

•100 block of North Fourth Street, assist. LPD on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office on a civil matter.

•1600 block of Saunders Settlement Road, burglary. Statement taken from a 44-year-old male regarding the theft of copper from the basement. Report filed.

•Kiwanis Park, juvenile problem. Report of juveniles lighting leaves on fire. Area checked with negative results.

•600 block of Scovell Drive, shooter complaint. Male advised that he is not allowed to target practice so close to residences.

•200 block of Portage Road, aggravated harassment. Statement taken from a 35-year-old female regarding calls from an unknown suspect. Patrol called the numbers reported and advised not to call the complainant again.

•1500 block of Ridge Road, burglary. Statement taken from a female regarding a 30-year-old male listed as a suspect. Report filed.

•1300 block of Swann Road, harassment. Statement taken from a 30-year-old female regarding a female suspect. Investigation to continue.

•Bond Lake, suspicious vehicle. New Jersey vehicle plate logged. No problems reported.

•Lewiston Road, possible intoxicated driver. Patrol spoke with the driver and reported no problems. Driver given a ride home by his brother.

Wednesday, Oct. 19

•LPD office, possible harassment. Patrol advised a female complainant who lives in Appleton that she needs to contact either State Police or NCSO.

•Kline Road, shooter complaint. Shooters found on their own private property. All OK.

•Ridge and Model City roads, reckless driver. Patrol located and reported the subject was a new driver learning how to drive.

•Locations on the 4600 block of Jason Court and a business on the 5300 block of Lewiston Road, alarm responses. Both locations secure; homeowner and key holder on location. Reports filed.

•Garlow Road, suspicious vehicle. Patrol located a female who was the victim of an incident in Niagara Falls. Subject turned over to Niagara Falls Police Department.

•Kiwanis Park, shooter complaint. Patrol searched the area with negative results.

•4000 block of Creek Road, Lewiston-Porter High School, possible harassment. Statement taken from a 17-year-old male regarding an 18-year-old male. Report filed.

Thursday, Oct. 20

•400 block of Center Street, larceny. Statement taken from a 35-year-old female regarding the larceny of clothes and a mannequin at a business. Suspect unknown. Report filed.

•LPD office, larceny. Statement taken from a female regarding a 26-year-old male suspect. Report filed.

•Modern Landfill, larceny arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a 68-year-old male. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Second male suspect expected to turn himself in.

•100 block of North Fourth Street, check welfare. Female taken for a medical evaluation by Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co.

•Locations on the 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road and at Hyde Park Boulevard at Sherman Street, reports of two-vehicle accidents. Statements taken from the drivers; reports filed.

•1500 block of Swann Road, officer requested. Caller reported a possible violation of a court order; no violation found. Patrol cleared.

Friday, Oct. 21

•Niagara University, intoxicated male. Patrol reported Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. EMS took a 20-year-old male to Mount St. Mary's Hospital.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, check area. Patrol advised of a multiple vehicle accident. Vehicles left the scene; patrol cleared.

•Indian Hill Road, one vehicle accident/vehicle in ditch. Statement taken from the driver; report filed.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, aggravated harassment. Statement taken from a 59-year-old male regarding a 45-year-old male. No charges at this time; suspect removed from the property.

•Pletcher and Lower River roads, road rage. Statement taken from a 38-year-old male regarding a female. Both parties went their ways.

•2300 block of Upper Mountain Road, animal problem. SPCA secured a black rottweiler.

•Bond Lake Park, suspicious vehicles. Parties and vehicles checked out OK; subjects advised of park hours.

•700 block of Center Street, hit-run. Statement taken from a 27-year-old female. Suspect unknown; plate number logged. MV form issued; report filed.

•NU campus, Dwyer Ice Arena, check welfare. LPD advised by Rural Metro regarding the living conditions of an elderly female on Oneida Street. Report filed.

Saturday, Oct. 22

•900 block of Elliott Drive, criminal mischief. A 58-year-old male reported his house was egged.

•1600 block of Ridge Road, stolen vehicle. Statement taken from a male regarding the theft of a truck. Plate number logged; report filed.

•800 block of Center Street, intoxicated female at a gas/convenience business. Female party did not remember where she lived. Patrol assisted and took subject to an address on the 400 block of Baker Drive. Patrol cleared.

•Porter Center Road, recovered vehicle. Patrol recovered the truck reported stolen from Ridge Road in a ditch. Vehicle towed and hold placed. Investigation to continue.

•5900 block of Kline Road, suspicious item. Item found to be a pen; all OK.

•Seventh and Center streets, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from the drivers; minor damage reported. Report filed.

•Upper Mountain-Robert Moses Parkway entrance, suspicious person. All OK; cleared by patrol.

•Saunders Settlement Road, eastbound, reckless driver. Negative results on patrol's search. Ontario plate number logged.

Sunday, Oct. 23

•900 block of Upper Mountain Road, theft of services. Cab driver reported a female failed to pay $18.50 for a cab fare. Whereabouts of suspect unknown.

•NU campus, Dwyer Ice Arena, custody problem. Female party was a no show with children. Report filed.

•800 block of Foxwood Drive, domestic. Statement taken from a 49-year-old female regarding a 29-year-old male listed as a suspect. Male left with property.

•500 block of Tuscarora Street, violation of court order. Male went to pick up children and reported the mother and children not present.

•400 block of Kenwood Drive, dog bite. Patrol spoke with female complainant and a female listed as the dog's owner. Report filed.

•800 block of Oriole Lane, harassment. Statement taken from a 25-year-old male regarding a 43-year-old female suspect and a 25-year-old female listed as person involved. Patrol attempted to contact the suspect with negative results. Report filed.

•5400 block of Walmore Road, burglary. Statement taken from a 54-year-old male and a 21-year-old male. Suspect unknown. Four firearms and one TV listed in the report. Report filed.

•Black Nose Spring Road, one vehicle accident. Statement taken from the driver; vehicle towed. Report filed.
