WNY affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to host volunteer forums

The WNY Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a volunteer-driven organization currently recruiting volunteers to serve on a committee to advance Komen's mission to save lives and end breast cancer forever. Those interested are invited to attend one of two volunteer forums, which will be held in the next few weeks.

The first forum, a luncheon, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Carrabba's Italian Grill, 1645 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.

The second forum, a wine and cheese reception, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the Canisius High School Library, 1180 Delaware Ave., Buffalo.

At the forums, guests can explore all of the Komen WNY affiliate volunteer opportunities offered throughout the year, which include development, special events and community advocacy. The affiliate's focus is on those willing to serve on a committee.
