Erie County Legislator Kevin Hardwick, who represents Grand Island, announced on Monday that his office has scheduled four outreach meetings for Oct. 4. These meetings are designed to give residents an opportunity to discuss their concerns and share information from the County Legislature.

"Outreach meetings are a tremendous resource for residents to find out about county government and to discuss their needs within the local community," Hardwick said. "I encourage residents to stop and learn more about the many programs available to them."

Information on county services, including the Department of Senior Services, Social Services, Veteran Affairs and the County Clerk's Office, will be available. Free notary services are also offered at outreach meetings. Copies of Hardwick's newsletter, hot spot fishing maps and bicycle route guides will be on hand.

The schedule Oct. 4 includes two meetings on the Island:

•9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Grand Island Golden Age Center, 3278 Whitehaven Road.

•11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Grand Island Memorial Library, 1715 Bedell Road.

Two later meetings will take place in Tonawanda:

•1 to 3 p.m., Tonawanda Senior Center, 33 Main St.

•3:30 to 5 p.m., Tonawanda Public Library, 333 Main St.

Hardwick is also available to meet with residents by appointment. Call his legislative office at 873-3438 or email [email protected] to schedule a meeting.
