A book-signing party for Lewiston-born best-selling author Catherine Gildiner was held at the home of Gary and Sophia Smith of Lewiston. Kathleen Skoog and Kim Krug of Monkey See, Monkey Do bookstore donated the proceeds from the event to Carolyn's House. The Niagara Falls-based agency serves as a shelter for homeless and abused women and children, and provides counseling, life skills training, parenting and support groups to the community.
