Joseph H. "Luke" Lukasiewicz Sr., entered into rest Aug. 16, 2011.
A resident of Grand Island, he was the husband of the late Evelyn Lukasiewicz.
He was the son of the late Henry and Mary Lukasiewicz.
He was the stepfather of Patricia (William) Smith and Steve VanDyke; grandfather of Lyn (Mark) Fotia, Terry Smith, Melissa and Amanda VanDyke; and great-grandfather of Vince and John Paul Fotia.
Lukasiewicz was a retired first sergeant after 40 years of service and a life member of Amvets Medallion Post 13. He was also past governor of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 180 on Grand Island. He retired from the Grand Island Parks Department.
Memorials may be made to Harbor Lights Fellowship, 1821 Grand Island Blvd., where a celebration of life will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at 7 p.m.
