"Frankenfest," a fundraiser in honor of Frank Stewart, will take place from 2 until 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Elks Lodge behind the Fashion Outlets Mall.

Frank, a Niagara Falls resident, passed away unexpectedly in April. He was a local musician and a volunteer at the Heart & Soul food pantry.

A Les Paul guitar will be up for grabs at the benefit, which includes a basket auction, 50/50 split raffles and a door prize drawing.

Food is courtesy of Melloni's, Como Deli and Piro's Pizza.

Featured entertainment comes via two of the area's top bands: The Junkyard Dogs (3 until 5 p.m.) and a special 20th anniversary reunion of The Original Thurman Brothers Band (7 until 9 p.m.).

Randy Thurman is flying in from Florida to participate in the event.

Proceeds will benefit Heart & Soul food pantry and Frank's wife, Eileen, and son, Frank Jr.

Tickets are $20 presale and $25 at the door. For more information, contact Karen Thurman at 531-2653 or John Stewart at 990-9565.

The Elks Lodge is located at 1805 Factory Outlet Blvd., Niagara Falls.
