The Niagara Military Affairs Council this month hosted a group of local officials on a trip to Washington, D.C., to encourage efforts to strengthen the Niagara Air Reserve Station. Kirsten Gillibrand, NIMAC Vice Chairman John Cooper, NIMAC Chairman Merrell Lane, NFTA Executive Director Kim Minkel and Dr. James Farkas from Assemblyman John Ceretto's office. They were met in D.C. by NIMAC's Washington consultant, Steve Hyjek, who arranged meetings with Congressional and Pentagon leadership.
