Paddles Up Niagara draws more than 200

There were 210 boats with 243 paddlers at this year's sixth annual Paddles Up Niagara, a paddlesport event at Beaver Island State Park. Paddles Up is the signature event of the Niagara River Greenway Commission. Prior to departure, participants held their paddles up, which in native cultures signifies a boater's arrival at a landing in peace.
