Situated on Lake Ontario 11 miles east of Fort Niagara in picturesque Wilson Harbor, the 43-year-old Tuscarora Yacht Club has just completed a $400,000 upgrade of its entire facility. New features include a greatly expanded kitchen, two beautifully landscaped patios -- one with a roofed barbecue, a shore-side children's play area, improved slips, a pump-out station and many other amenities to be enjoyed by club members and guests. Located just 29 miles across the lake from downtown Toronto, TYC offers reciprocal docking privileges at dozens of Canadian yacht clubs, in addition to many on the New York shore of Lake Ontario and around the Buffalo/Niagara metropolitan area.

TYC is a family-oriented club, offering full membership to both sail and powerboat owners. Limited social memberships are also available. Slips are currently available for vessels up to 35 feet in length; there is a short waiting list for larger slips and those for boaters with special needs. The club has a full summer season of Wilson Harbor racing, social events and reciprocal cruises to Canadian clubs, plus off-site events during the late fall, winter and early spring. Annual dues, docking and winter storage charges and fees are reasonable.

Complete membership information and an application form may be found at www.tycwilson.com and club tours may be arranged by calling Bob Stone at 688-7551 or emailing [email protected]

TYC is a private membership corporation and new memberships are subject to approval by its board of directors.
