Since the summer of 1995, Jesse Gooch, owner of Painters Plus, has hosted an annual party for family and friends in his backyard. This party came to be known as GoochFest, with funds raised going to charity.

Since the number of guests for GoochFest continues to grow, this year's festivities, beginning at 3 p.m. July 9, will be held at new location: The Lions Club, located at 6535 Ward Road, Sanborn (next to The American Legion). The Lions Club of Wheatfield will also be the beneficiary of all proceeds from GoochFest.

Tickets are $22.

There also will be music provided by DJ Uncle Franky. In addition to live music, there will be smoked pulled barbecue and plenty of other food available. Admission cost includes all drinks. There will be a 50/50 raffle, concert ticket raffle and more.

GoochFest is a 21 and over event: ID must be present for security at the door and everybody is welcome to attend. To discourage drinking and driving, tents for camping are welcome.
