Lewiston Police had an overall smoother experience in the village Tuesday for "An Evening with Peter Frampton" at Artpark.

LPD Chief Chris Salada reported the crowds were larger for the Framption show, but better behaved than those encountered at last week's CCR show, which saw 43 open container arrests on village streets

"Tuesday's concert went very smooth. Larger, more respectful crowd. No major incidents," said Salada, who suggested "the open container article last week helped, I believe."

"Our open container arrests were cut in half (this week)," he said.

LPD totals were 21 open container arrests, two possession of marijuana arrests and one DWI.

"Traffic emptied out of upper lot in less than an hour, and the lower lot is still taking about an hour and a half," Salada added.
