Ribbon-cutting will dedicate new county recreation facilities

County residents will have a new place to cool off this summer -- or to get in shape -- thanks to a new splash park and fitness trail being dedicated Tuesday.

The Krull Park Splash Park, located in Olcott, and a nearby fitness trail were constructed by Niagara County through grant monies provided by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.  Several dignitaries from the county and state will be on-hand to formally cut the ribbon and turn on the splash park's water system.

WHO:  Niagara County Legislature Vice Chairman Clyde L. Burmaster, Legislator John Syracuse, Legislator David E. Godfrey, Supervisor Tim Horanburg, Newfane town board, and state-level representatives.

WHAT:  Formally dedicating the Krull Park Splash Park and an adjoining fitness trail.  In a planned well-choreographed display, cutting the ribbon will be timed to coincide with the flow of water to the splash park.

WHEN:  Tuesday, June 28, at 10 a.m.

WHERE:  Krull Park, Olcott
