NTCC welcomes Mattera as new communications manager

Niagara Tourism & Convention Corporation is happy to welcome Nick Mattera as its new communications manager.

The position has been vacant for more than a month and Mattera will now jump into the role just as the summer tourism season ramps up.

Mattera is responsible for developing and implementing media strategies to promote the activities of the Niagara USA region, including implementation of the already successful online strategy.  He will also act as the main point person for the Niagara USA website. 

Mattera previously worked as communications director and community liaison with New York State Assemblyman John Ceretto. He also served as a staff reporter with The Niagara Gazette. 

"With Nick's background as a reporter, he has the necessary skills to go out and work directly with our constituency to get those newsworthy stories, which will attract media coverage," said Melissa Morinello, director of marketing and communications for Niagara Tourism & Convention Corporation.  "He is very much looking forward to meeting with our businesses to help promote the Niagara USA region, whether it is in a pitch for a travel writer, on a blog entry, or even an article in our 'Niagara Now' in-room magazine."
