Saralyn Notaro Rietz, M.D. and her husband, Ralph Rietz, took first place honors at their first international regional competition at the Falls Premier Ball held in January in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The couple earned first place medals in each dance entered, which included tango, hustle, cha-cha and two-step.
Dr. Notaro Rietz, an ophthalmologist, has offices in Snyder and Wheatfield. Her husband is an employee at Moog.
The couple, which has danced together for 10 years, is students of Tara Scime and Paul Kittel of Ballroom and Beyond Studio, and lives in Williamsville.
