The History Center, 215 Niagara St., Lockport, has announced its most recent DVD project, "Soaring Over Niagara-Volume 1," the fourth entry in its DVD series.

This year's entry is devoted entirely to Niagara County aerial images, with four chapters encompassing the City of Lockport, the Town of Lockport, the Erie Canal and Harrison Radiator. Local aviator Dick Gallagher donated his collection of hundreds of aerial photographs shot around Niagara County. Later entries in this series will highlight the other cities and villages around Niagara County.

In addition to the new DVD, the History Center is selling two companion photo books titled," A Birds Eye View."

To introduce these new publications, the History Center has scheduled a special movie screening of the new DVD at 2 p.m. Dec. 11. A $5 admission will be accepted and those attending will receive a 20 percent discount on the purchase price of the new books and DVD. Gallagher will be on hand at the programs to answer questions. Reservations are encouraged; call 434-7433.
