National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

On Tuesday, Oct. 5, Paul Wojtaszek, chairman of the Niagara County
Legislature's Community Safety and Security Committee, presented a proclamation
to Coordinator Susan LaRose of the Domestic Violence Intervention Program at
the Niagara County Sheriff's Office and victim assistance advocates Kristen
Mack, Kelly Bird and Sarah Ackerman in recognition of Domestic Violence
Awareness Month. Sheriff James R. Voutour stated "This very serious and ever
present danger of spousal abuse is always a high priority of the sheriff's
office, and I commend the coordinator and advocates for their hard work in
confronting the problem and assisting the victims."
