The following is a sample
of the Village of Youngstown Police Blotter from Aug. 29 to Sept. 22.
Sunday, Aug. 29
- 900 block of
Woodcliff Drive, domestic incident. A resident reported an unwanted person. All
okay.
- Faulkner Park,
patrol watch. Patrol walked a business district/park. The area was secured.
- 1000 block of Swann
Road, burglar alarm. Patrol responded to a burglar alarm at a residence. The
home was cleared.
- Robert Moses
Highway, suspicious vehicles. A complainant reported suspicious vehicles along
a busy highway. Patrol checked the area and the vehicles were gone on arrival.
Monday, Aug. 30
- 400 block of Water
Street, alarm. An alarm went off at a local business. An employee was found on
location. All okay.
- 3100 block of
Porter-Center Road, neighbor dispute. Patrol assisted the Niagara County
Sheriff Dept. with an ongoing neighbor dispute.
Saturday, Sept. 4
- 600 block of
Blairville, loud noises. A complainant reported hearing yelling from a
neighbor's home. Patrol found children playing video games on arrival.
- 100 block of Jackson
Street, check welfare of elderly female. A 72-year-old female reported she fell
her in her home. She had laceration to her nose. The female was transported to
a hospital for further evaluation.
Sunday, Sept. 5
- 1000 block of Swann
Road, hang-up call. Patrol checked a residence for a 911 hang-up call. All
okay.
- 4300 block of Autumn
Lane, harassment complaint. A homeowner reported five golfers threatened to
smash out his windows if he did not return their golf ball. A report is pending
with the Lewiston Police Dept.
- 1700 block of
Harrison Lane, check welfare. Patrol responded to a report of a 14-year-old
daughter being slapped by her father. The parents stated they were having
problems controlling their daughter.
Monday, Sept. 6
- 1000 block of Swann
Road, domestic incident. Patrol assisted the Lewiston Police Dept. with a
domestic dispute.
Tuesday, Sept. 7
- 200 block of
Lockport Street, rape. A resident of the 300 block of Oak claimed a man raped
her in a business. The victim was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
Investigation pending.
Saturday, Sept. 11
- Water Street,
vehicles towed. A 51-year-old male and a 41-year-old male were made aware their
vehicles were towed from the business they were located at.
- 300 block of
Brampton Road, property damage. A 70-year-old male reported property damage to
his home. A report was filed.
Sunday, Sept. 12
- 3300 block of East
Avenue, stolen/lost license plates. A resident reported her license plates were
lost or stolen.
Monday, Sept. 13
- Church Street,
traffic stop. A traffic stop was made to a village resident. A warning was
issued.
- Faulkner Park,
property check. A property check was made at a park.
- Veterans Park,
property check. A property check was made at a park.
Tuesday, Sept. 14
- 600 block of Cayuga
Street, hang-up call. Patrol assisted the Lewiston Police Department with a 911
hang-up call.
- Faulkner Park,
property check. Juveniles were advised to leave the park.
Friday, Sept. 17
- 300 block of Elm
Street, aggravated harassment. A 23-year-old male filed a report of aggravated
harassment.
Saturday, Sept. 18
- 300 block of Oak
St., dog bite complaint. A homeowner reported his dog was bit on the throat by
his neighbor's dog. The neighbor's dog was not on a leash.
- Youngstown code
violation. An appearance ticket was issued to a 31-year-old female. The female
was arrested for not having her dog on a leash.
- 3300 block of Creek
Road, open burn complaint. Patrol responded to an open burn complaint. The
party agreed to extinguish the fire.
Sunday, Sept. 19
- Church Street,
ticket issued. A 34-year-old male was issued a speeding ticket. He was going
44-mph in a 30-mph zone.
Monday, Sept. 20
- Faulkner Park,
disorderly juveniles complaint. Patrol responded to a complaint of juveniles
smoking marijuana in the park. The area was checked with negative results.
- Church Street,
ticket issued. A 31-year-old female was issued a speeding ticket. She was going
44-mph in a 30-mph zone.
Wednesday, Sept. 22
- Coast Guard Station, animal complaint. Patrol responded to a report of
an animal problem, possibly a skunk. The company was advised to contact animal
control to have it removed.
