Edward Tase Jr. of Lockport has been elected to a five-year term on the board of directors of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York.
Tase has been in the fire service for 39 years, joining his hometown's Frontier Volunteer Fire Co. on his 14th birthday as a junior firefighter and becoming a full member on his 18th birthday.
He has been active in both the Niagara County Volunteer Firemen's Association and the Western New York Volunteer Firemen's Association and serves on the Niagara County Fire Advisory Board.
