The Mediterranean Festival celebrated Middle Eastern culture once again over the weekend. Presented annually by St. George's Antiochian Orthodox Church on Saunders Settlement Road, the three-day event, now in its sixth year, featured Greek and Lebanese food, fellowship and entertainment. Denise Filosofos, chairwoman of the event, said attendance was excellent even with some rain on Friday. One event organizer estimated food service was 50 percent busier than in 2009.
