Niagara County residents will have an opportunity to shape improvements at Bond Lake Park in the Town of Lewiston by taking an online survey set up by Niagara County Parks and Recreation.

The one-page survey, which takes less than five minutes to fill out, is available through the county Web site at www.niagaracounty.com/parks.  It will be used to help the Niagara County Department of Public Works prepare a grant application through the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation.

"We're urging the people to help us with this short survey for a grant to improve our parks system," said Legislator Gerald K. Farnham, R-Lockport, the vice chairman of the County Legislature's Public Works Committee.  "The purpose of this grant application to New York State Parks will be improving the site and usage - and the types of usage - for Bond Lake."

The county is making the survey available to residents during August.
